Caveman is our house espresso blend at Grind Coffee Bar.
We wanted to create an espresso that met all the requirements for a perfect cup, but when adding 8 ounces of milk, you still have that 'I'm drinking a cup of coffee' feeling. Perfect for all your flat white, latte & cappuccino needs.
Drinking this will remind you that coffee is the seed of a fruit. The aroma is full of blackberry jam. In the cup you will find blackcurrant flavours, which coupled with the lemon & lime acidity, creates a slick, juicy body.
If you filter is your thing, this coffee is for you. Its the boss's favourite for a V60 or Chemex pour-over style coffee.
This coffee will give you a completely different experience to our Kenya Thunguri. With this coffee we have found a lovely lemon curd quality, creamy yet tart. The green apple acidity in this cup creates a clean aftertaste and with a syrupy body.
This has become a favourite at the roastery.
We think you'll be surprised at how good decaf can actually taste with this coffee.
The blend is made up with coffee from Honduras & Guatemala, and decaffeinated using the swiss water decaffeination process.

Once all the knowledge is passed on, its competition time. Who can make the best flat white in the group, just for fun.
Our coffee roasting experience will possibly be the most informative 2 hours you'll ever experience when it comes to coffee.
Millions of people drink their cappuccino or flat white every single day, and would probably have no idea what its taken for that coffee to get from point A, to point Z.
During the 2 hours you will spend with Grind Roast Works owner and Head Roaster, Benjamin Brooker, you will spend some time discussing the farming process of coffee (what exactly are coffee beans and where do they come from), and what the differences are between coffee beans from different parts of the world. Following that you'll roast up a batch of coffee on our Giesen W15 coffee roaster, then go through the cupping process of freshly roasted coffee. (This is how we taste and score coffee at the roastery).
